Emission Incidents

Prosecution is an important part of environmental law enforcement. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) encourages individuals and businesses to integrate good environmental practices into normal working methods and seeks to prevent environmental pollution before it has a chance to occur. Where pollution does occur, the EPA aims to seek redress for environmental pollution and avoid a reoccurrence.

MarCon works with clients who may have breached the conditions of their IPPC licence/Waste Water authorisation to accurately evaluate the magnitude of any incident, determine the most likely environmental impact arising from any incident, and propose mitigation and management measures to minimise any impacts to the satisfaction of the Environmental Protection Agency.
